     ط سٓ مٓ

    Taa-Seeen-Meeem

    Taa-Seen-Meem.

    Taa seen meem

    28.2

    تِلْكَ ءَايَٰتُ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ ٱلْمُبِينِ

    Tilka Aayaatul Kitaabil mubeen

    These are the Auyaats of the manifest scripture.

    yeh aayaten hain roshan kitaab ki

    28.3

    نَتْلُوا۟ عَلَيْكَ مِن نَّبَإِ مُوسَىٰ وَ فِرْعَوْنَ

    بِٱلْحَقِّ لِقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ

    Natloo 'alai ka min naba-i Moosaa wa Fi'awna

    bilhaqqi liqawminy yu'miinoon

    We recite to you of the news of Moses and pharaoh
    in truth for a people who believe.

    hum tum par parhen Moosa aur firaon ki khabar 
    sachhi un logon ke liye jo imaan rakhte hain.

    28.4

    إِنَّ فِرْعَوْنَ عَلَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ

    وَجَعَلَ أَهْلَهَا شِيَعًا

    يَسْتَضْعِفُ طَآئِفَةً مِّنْهُمْ

    يُذَبِّحُ أَبْنَآءَهُمْ

    وَيَسْتَحْىِۦ نِسَآءَهُمْ

    ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ

    Inna Fir'awna 'alaa fil ardi

    wa ja'ala ahlahaa shiya'ai

    yastad'ifu taaa'ifatam minhum

    yuzabbihu abnaaa'ahum

    wa yastahyee nisaaa'ahum;

    innahoo kaana minal mufsideen

    verily pharaoh exalted him self in the land
    and made its people sects.
    Weakening a group among them,
    them are slaying their sons,
    and letting their females live.
    Verily he was of those who commit great sins.

    beshak firaon ne zameen me ghalba paaya tha
    aur us ke logon ko apna tabe banaya
    un me ek giroh ko kamzor dekhta
    un ke beton ko zibah karta
    aur un ki aurton ko zindah rakhta
    beshak woh fasadi tha.

    28.5

    وَنُرِيدُ أَن نَّمُنَّ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسْتُضْعِفُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ

    وَنَجْعَلَهُمْ أَئِمَّةً

    وَنَجْعَلَهُمُ ٱلْوَٰرِثِينَ

    Wa nureedu an namunna 'alal lazeenas tud'ifoo fil ardi

    wa naj'alahum a'immatanw

    wa naj'alahumul waariseen

    and we wished to do a favour to those who were weak in the land
    and to make them rulers,
    and to make them the inheritors.

    aur hum chahte the ke un kamzoron par ahsaan farmaen
    aur un ko peshwa banayen
    aur un ke milk o maal ka unhen waris banayen.

    28.6

    وَنُمَكِّنَ لَهُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ

    وَنُرِىَ فِرْعَوْنَ وَهَٰمَٰنَ وَجُنُودَهُمَا

    مِنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يَحْذَرُونَ

    Wa numakkina lahum fil ardi

    wa nuriya Fir'awna wa Haamaana wa junoodahumaa

    minhum maa kaanoo yahzaroon

    and to establish for them in the land
    and we let see pharaoh and haman and their hosts
    from them that which they were fearing.

    aur unhen zameen me qabza den
    aur firaon aur Haman aur un ke lashkaron ko wohi dikha den
    jis ka unhen un ki taraf se khatrah hai.

    28.7

    وَ أَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰٓ أُمِّ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنْ أَرْضِعِي هِ ۖ

     فَإِذَا خِفْتِ عَلَيْهِ فَأَلْقِيهِ فِى ٱلْيَمِّ

    وَلَا تَخَافِى وَ لَا تَحْزَنِىٓ ۖ

    إِنَّا رَآدُّوهُ إِلَيْكِ

    وَجَاعِلُوهُ مِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

    Wa awhainaaa ilaaa ummi Moosaaa an ardi'ee hi

    fa izaa khifti 'alaihi fa alqeehi fil yammi

    wa laa takhaafee wa laa tahzaneee

    innaa raaaddoo hu ilaiki

    wa jaa'iloohu minal mursaleen

    and we inspired to them mother of Moses, suckle him
    but if you fear for him then cast him into the river
    and not fear and nor grieve.
    Verily we shall bring him back to you
    and shall make him one of the Prophet’s.

    aur hum ne Moosa ki maa ko ilham farmaya ke use doodh pila
    phir jab tujhe is se andesha ho to use darya me daal de
    aur na dar aur na gham kar
    beshak hum use teri taraf pher layen
    aur use Rasool banyen ge.

    28.8

    فَٱلْتَقَطَهُۥٓ ءَالُ فِرْعَوْنَ

    لِ يَكُونَ لَهُمْ عَدُوًّا وَحَزَنًا ۗ

    إِنَّ فِرْعَوْنَ وَهَٰمَٰنَ وَجُنُودَهُمَا كَانُوا۟ خَٰطِـِٔينَ

    Fa ltaqata hooo Aalu Fir'awna

    li yakoona lahum 'aduwwanw wa hazanaa;

    inna Fir'awna wa Haamaana wa junooda humaa kaanoo khaati'een

    then the household of pharaoh picked up him 
    that he might become for them an enemy and grief.
    Verily pharaoh and haman and their hosts were sinners.

    to use utha liya firaon ke ghar walon ne
    ke woh un ka dushman aur un par gham ho
    beshak firaon aur Haman aur un ke lashkar khatakaar the.

    28.9

    وَقَالَتِ ٱمْرَأَتُ فِرْعَوْنَ

    قُرَّتُ عَيْنٍ لِّى وَلَكَ ۖ

    لَا تَقْتُلُوهُ

    عَسَىٰٓ أَن يَنفَعَنَآ

    أَوْ نَتَّخِذَهُۥ وَلَدًا

    وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ

    Wa qaalatim ra atu Fir'awna

    qurratu 'aynil lee wa lak;

    laa taqtuloohu

    'asaaa aiyanfa'anaa

    aw nattakhizahoo waladanw

    wa hum laa yash'uroon

    and the wife of pharaoh said:
    a comfort of the eye for me and for you.
    you do not kill him!
    Perhaps that he may be of benefit to us,
    or we may adopt him as a son
    and they not perceive.

    aur firaon ki bibi ne kaha
    yeh bacha meri aur teri aankhon ki thandak hai,
    use qatal na karo,
    shayad yeh hame naffa de
    ya hum use beta bana len
    aur woh be khaber the.

    28.10

    وَأَصْبَحَ فُؤَادُ أُمِّ مُوسَىٰ فَٰرِغًا ۖ

    إِن كَادَتْ لَتُبْدِى بِهِۦ

    لَوْلَآ أَن رَّبَطْنَا عَلَىٰ قَلْبِهَا

    لِتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

    Wa asbaha fu'aadu ummi Moosaa faarighan

    in kaadat latubdee bihee

    law laaa arrabatnaa 'alaa qalbihaa

    litakoona minal mu'mineen

    and became the heart of the mother of Moses empty.
    Verily she was very near to disclose his,
    had we not that strengthened over her heart.
    So that she might remain as one of the believers.

    aur subah ko Moosa ki maa ka dil be sabr ho gaya
    zaroor qareeb tha ke woh is ka haal khol deti
    agar hum na dhaaras bandhte us ke dil par
    ke use hamare wada par yaqeen rahe.

    28.11

     وَقَالَتْ لِأُخْتِهِۦ قُصِّيهِ ۖ

    فَبَصُرَتْ بِهِۦ عَن جُنُبٍ

    وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ

    Wa qaalat li ukhtihee qusseehi

    fabasurat bihee 'an junubinw

    wahum laa yash'uroon

    and she said to his sister “follow him”.
    So she watched him from a far place
    while they not perceive.

    aur us ki maa ne us ki bahen se kaha us ke peeche chali ja
    to woh use door se dekhati rahi
    aur un ko khabar na thi.

    28.12

     وَحَرَّمْنَا عَلَيْهِ ٱلْمَرَاضِعَ مِن قَبْلُ

    فَقَالَتْ هَلْ أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَىٰٓ أَهْلِ بَيْتٍ

    يَكْفُلُونَهُۥ لَكُمْ

    وَهُمْ لَهُۥ نَٰصِحُونَ

    Wa harramnaa 'alaihil maraadi'a min qablu

    faqaalat hal adullukum 'alaaa ahli baitiny

    yakfuloonahoo lakum

    wa hum lahoo naasihoon

    and we had already forbidden sucking mothers for him,
    then she said: “shall I direct you to people of a household”
    who will care for him for you
    and they will to him look after in a good manner.

    aur hum ne pahle hi sab daiyaan us par haraam kar di thin 
    to boli kya mai tumhe bata dun aise ghar wale
    ke tumahre is bacha ko paal den
    aur woh is ke khair khah hain.

    28.13

    فَرَدَدْنَٰهُ إِلَىٰٓ أُمِّهِۦ

    كَىْ تَقَرَّ عَيْنُهَا

    وَلَا تَحْزَنَ

    وَلِتَعْلَمَ أَنَّ وَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقٌّ

    وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ

    Faradadnaahu ilaa ummihee

    kai taqarra 'ainuhaa

    wa laa tahzana

    wa lita'lama anna wa'dal laahi haqqunw

    wa laakinna aksarahum laa ya'lamoon

    So did we restored him to his mother
    that her eye might be comforted
    and she not grieve
    and that she might know that the promise of Allah is true.
    But most of them not know.

    to hum ne use us ki maa ki taraf phera
    ke maa ki aankh thandhi ho
    aur gham na khaye
    aur jaan le ke Allah ka wada sacha hai,
    lekin aksar log nahi jante.

    28.14

     وَلَمَّا بَلَغَ أَشُدَّهُۥ وَٱسْتَوَىٰٓ

    ءَاتَيْنَٰهُ حُكْمًا وَعِلْمًا

    ۚ وَكَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ

    Wa lammaa balagha ashuddahoo wastawaaa

    aatai naahu hukmanw wa 'ilmaa;

    wa kazaalika najzil muhsineen

    and when he attained his full strength and became perfect in manhood
    we bestowed on him judgement and knowledge
    and thus we reward the good doers.

    aur jab apni jawani ko pouncha aur poore zor par aaya
    hum ne use hukum aur ilm ataa farmaya
    aur hum aisa hi sila dete hain nekon ko.

    28.15

     وَدَخَلَ ٱلْمَدِينَةَ عَلَىٰ حِينِ غَفْلَةٍ مِّنْ أَهْلِهَا

    فَوَجَدَ فِيهَا رَجُلَيْنِ يَقْتَتِلَانِ

    هَٰذَا مِن شِيعَتِهِۦ وَهَٰذَا مِنْ عَدُوِّهِۦ ۖ

    فَٱسْتَغَٰثَهُ ٱلَّذِى مِن شِيعَتِهِۦ

    عَلَى ٱلَّذِى مِنْ عَدُوِّهِۦ

    فَوَكَزَهُۥ مُوسَىٰ

    فَقَضَىٰ عَلَيْهِ ۖ

    قَالَ هَٰذَا مِنْ عَمَلِ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنِ ۖ

    إِنَّهُۥ عَدُوٌّ مُّضِلٌّ مُّبِينٌ

    Wa dakhalal madeenata 'alaa heene ghaflatim min ahlihaa

    fawajada feeha raju laini yaqtatilaani

    haazaa min shee'atihee wa haaza min 'aduwwihee

    fastaghaasahul lazee min shee'atihee

    'alal lazee min 'aduwwihee

    fawakazahoo Moosaa

    faqadaa 'alaihi

    qaala haaza min 'amalish Shaitaani

    innahoo 'aduwwum mmudillum mubeen

    and he entered the city at a time of unawareness of its people.
    And he found there in it two men fighting.
    This was of his party and that was of his foes.
    And the man of his party asked him for help
    who was against the one who was of his foe.
    So Moses struck him with his fist,
    and killed him.
    He said: “this is the doing of satan.”
    Verily he is misleading a plain enemy.

    aur us shaher me daakhil huwa jis waqt shehar wale dopaher ke khab me be khaber the
    to us me do mard larhte paye,
    ek Moosa ke giroh se tha aur dosra us ke dushmanon se
    to woh jo us ke giroh se tha us ne Moosa se madad mangi
    us par jo us ke dushmanon se tha,
    to Moosa ne us ko ghonsa mara
    to us ka kaam tamam kar diya
    kaha yeh kaam shaitan ki taraf se huwa
    beshak woh dushman hai khula gumraah karne wala.

    28.16

     قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّى ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِى

    فَٱغْفِرْ لِى فَغَفَرَ لَهُۥٓ ۚ

    إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلْغَفُورُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

    Qaala Rabbi innee zalamtu nafsee faghfir lee faghafara lah; innahoo Huwal Ghafoorur Raheem

     

    he said: “My Raub! Verily I have wronged my self so forgive for me”. And Allah forgave him. Verily he The Very Forgiving One The Most Merciful.


    ( 16 ) arz ki, ae mere rab! mai ne apni jaan par zayad-ti ki to mujhe bakhash de to rab ne use bakhash diya, be shak wohi bakhsne wala meharban hai.

    28.17

     قَالَ رَبِّ بِمَآ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَىَّ

    فَلَنْ أَكُونَ ظَهِيرًا لِّلْمُجْرِمِينَ

    Qaala Rabbi bimaaa an'amta 'alaiya

    falan akoona zaheeral lilmujrimeen

    He said: My Raub! For that with which you have favord me,
    never I will be a helper of the criminals.

    arz ki ae mere rab jaisa to ne mujh par ahsaan kya
    to ab hargiz mai mujrimon ka madadgaar na hon ga

    28.18

    فَأَصْبَحَ فِى ٱلْمَدِينَةِ خَآئِفًا يَتَرَقَّبُ

    فَإِذَا ٱلَّذِى ٱسْتَنصَرَهُۥ بِٱلْأَمْسِ يَسْتَصْرِخُهُۥ

    ۚ قَالَ لَهُۥ مُوسَىٰٓ

    إِنَّكَ لَغَوِىٌّ مُّبِينٌ

    Fa asbaha fil madeenati khaaa'ifany yataraqqabu

    fa izal lazis tansarahoo bil amsi yastasrikhuh;

    qaala lahoo moosaaa

    innaka laghawiyyum mubeen

    So he became afraid looking about in the city.
    When behold the man who, had sought his help yesterday called him for his help.
    Said to him Moses;
    verily you are a plain misleader.

    to subah ki, us shehar me darte howe us intezaar me ke kya hota hai
    jabhi dekha ke woh jis ne kal un se madad chahi thi faryaad kar raha hai
    Moosa ne us se farmaya
    beshak to khula gumraah hai.

    28.19

     فَلَمَّآ أَنْ أَرَادَ أَن يَبْطِشَ

    بِٱلَّذِى هُوَ عَدُوٌّ لَّهُمَا

    قَالَ يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ

    أَتُرِيدُ أَن تَقْتُلَنِى

    كَمَا قَتَلْتَ نَفْسًۢا بِٱلْأَمْسِ ۖ

    إِن تُرِيدُ إِلَّآ أَن تَكُونَ جَبَّارًا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ

    وَمَا تُرِيدُ أَن تَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُصْلِحِينَ

    Falammaaa an araada ai yabtisha

    billazee huwa 'aduwwul lahumaa

    qaala yaa Moosaaa

    Atureedu an taqtulanee

    kamaa qatalta nafsam bil amsi

    in tureedu illaaa an takoona jabbaaram fil ardi

    wa maa tureedu an takoona minal musliheen

    Then when that he decided to seize
    the man who was an enemy to both of them,
    the man said: O Moses!
    Do you want to kill me
    as you killed a man yesterday?
    Nothing you want but to become a tyrant in the land
    and you not want to be of those who do right.

    to jab Moosa ne chaha ke us par giraft kere
    jo un dono ka dushman hai
    woh bola ae Moosa
    kya tum mujhe waisa hi qatal karna chahte ho
    jaisa tum ne kal ek shakhs ko qatal kar diya,
    tum to yahi chahte ho ke zameen me sakht geer bano
    aur islaah karna nahi chahte.

    28.20

     وَجَآءَ رَجُلٌ مِّنْ أَقْصَا ٱلْمَدِينَةِ يَسْعَىٰ

    قَالَ يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ

    إِنَّ ٱلْمَلَأَ يَأْتَمِرُونَ بِكَ لِيَقْتُلُوكَ

    فَٱخْرُجْ إِنِّى لَكَ مِنَ ٱلنَّٰصِحِينَ

    Wa jaaa'a rajulum min aqsal madeenati yas'aa

    qaala yaa Moosaaa

    innal mala a yaa tamiroona bika liyaqtulooka

    fakhruj innee laka minan naasiheen

    and there came a man running from the fathest end of the city.
    He said: O Moses!
    Verily the chiefs are taking councel together about you to kill you
    so escape truly I am one of the good advisers to you.

    aur shaher ke aakhri kinare se ek shakhs daud taa aaya,
    kaha ae Moosa!
    beshak darbaar wale aap ke qatal ka mahswara kar rahe hain
    to nikal jayen mai aap ka khair khah hon.

    28.21

     فَخَرَجَ مِنْهَا خَآئِفًا يَتَرَقَّبُ ۖ

    قَالَ رَبِّ نَجِّنِى مِنَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

    Fakharaja minhaa khaaa 'ifany yataraqqab;

    qaala Rabbi najjinee minal qawmiz zaalimeen

    Being afraid looking about,
    he said: “My Raub! Save me from the people wrong-doers”.

    to us shehar se nikla darta huwa us intzaar me ke ab kya hota hai
    arz ki, ae mere rab! mujhe sitamgar se bacha le.

    28.22

     وَلَمَّا تَوَجَّهَ تِلْقَآءَ مَدْيَنَ

    قَالَ عَسَىٰ رَبِّىٓ أَن يَهْدِيَنِى سَوَآءَ ٱلسَّبِيلِ

    Wa lammaa tawajjaha tilqaaa'a Madyana

    qaala 'asaa Rabbeee ai yahdiyanee Sawaaa'as Sabeel

    and when he went towards of madyam city
    he said: it may be that my Raub guides me to the right way.

    aur jab Mudyan ki taraf mutwajjah huwa
    kaha qareeb hai ke mera rab mujhe seedhi raah bataye.

    28.23

    وَلَمَّا وَرَدَ مَآءَ مَدْيَنَ

    وَجَدَ عَلَيْهِ أُمَّةً مِّنَ ٱلنَّاسِ يَسْقُونَ

    وَوَجَدَ مِن دُونِهِمُ ٱمْرَأَتَيْنِ تَذُودَانِ ۖ

    قَالَ مَا خَطْبُكُمَا ۖ'

    قَالَتَا لَا نَسْقِى حَتَّىٰ يُصْدِرَ ٱلرِّعَآءُ ۖ

    وَأَبُونَا شَيْخٌ كَبِيرٌ

    Wa lammaa warada maaa'a Madyana

    wajada 'alaihi ummatam minannaasi yasqoona

    wa wajada min doonihimum ra ataini tazoodaani

    qaala maa khatubkumaa

    qaalataa laa nasqee hataa yusdirar ri'aaa'u

    wa aboonaa shaikhun kabeer

    and when he arrived at the water of madyan
    he found there a group of men watering their flocks.
    And besides them he found two women who were keeping back their flocks.
    He said: “what is the matter with you?”
    they said: not we can water our flocks until take their flocks the shephereds;
    and our father is very old man.

    aur jab Madyan ke pani par aaya
    wahan logon ke ek giroh ko dekha ke apne janwaron ko pani pila rahe hain,
    aur un se us taraf do aurten dekheen ke apne janwaron ko rok rahi hain
    Moosa ne farmaya tum dono ka kya haal hai
    woh boleen hum pani nahi pilatee jab tak sab charwahe pila kar wapas na le jayen
    aur hamare baap bahut boorhe hain.

    28.24

     فَسَقَىٰ لَهُمَا

    ثُمَّ تَوَلَّىٰٓ إِلَى ٱلظِّلِّ

    فَقَالَ رَبِّ

    إِنِّى لِمَآ أَنزَلْتَ إِلَىَّ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَقِيرٌ

    Fasaqaa lahumaa

    summa tawallaaa ilaz zilli

    faqaala Rabbi

    innee limaaa anzalta ilaiya min khairin faqeer

    So he watered their flocks for them
    then he turned back to shade
    and said: My Raub!
    Truly I am, in need of whatever good that you bestowed on me.

    to Moosa ne un dono ke janwaron ko pani pila diya
    phir saya ki taraf phira
    arz ki ae mere rab!
    mai us khane ka jo to mere liye utaare mohtaaj hon.

    28.25

     فَجَآءَتْهُ إِحْدَىٰهُمَا

    تَمْشِى عَلَى ٱسْتِحْيَآءٍ

    قَالَتْ إِنَّ أَبِى يَدْعُوكَ

    لِيَجْزِيَكَ أَجْرَ مَا سَقَيْتَ لَنَا ۚ

    فَلَمَّا جَآءَهُۥ

    وَقَصَّ عَلَيْهِ ٱلْقَصَصَ

    قَالَ لَا تَخَفْ ۖ

    نَجَوْتَ مِنَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

    Fajaaa'at hu ihdaahumaa

    tamshee 'alas tihyaaa'in

    qaalat inna abee yad'ooka

    li yajziyaka ajra maa saqaita lanaa;

    falammaa jaaa'ahoo

    wa qassa 'alaihil qasasa

    qaala laa takhaf

    najawta minal qawmiz zaalimeen

    then there came to him one of the two women
    walking shyly,
    she said: verily my father calls you.
    that he may give you reward that you watered for us.
    So when he came to him
    and narrated to him the story.
    He said: “you not fear
    have escaped from the people wrong-doers”.

    to un dono me se ek us ke paas aayi
    sharam se chalti hui
    boli mera baap tumhe bulaataa hai
    ke tumhe mazdoori de us ki jo tum ne hamare janwaron ko pani pilaya hai
    jab Moosa us ke paas aaya
    aur use baaten keh sunaeen
    us ne kaha darye nahi,
    aap bach gaye zaalmon se.

    28.26

     قَالَتْ إِحْدَىٰهُمَا يَٰٓأَبَتِ ٱسْتَـْٔجِرْهُ ۖ

    إِنَّ خَيْرَ مَنِ ٱسْتَـْٔجَرْتَ ٱلْقَوِىُّ ٱلْأَمِينُ

    Qaalat ihdaahumaa yaaa abatis taajirhu

    inna khaira manistaajartal qawiyyul ameen

    said one of them; O my father! Hire him.
    Verily the best who you can hire. Is the strong, the trustworthy.

    un me ki ek boli ae mere baap! un ko naukar rakh lo
    beshak behtar naukar woh jo taaqatwar aur amanatdaar ho.

    28.27

     قَالَ إِنِّىٓ أُرِيدُ أَنْ أُنكِحَ كَ  إِحْدَى ٱبْنَتَىَّ هَٰتَيْنِ

    عَلَىٰٓ أَن تَأْجُرَنِى ثَمَٰنِىَ حِجَجٍ ۖ

    فَإِنْ أَتْمَمْتَ عَشْرًا

    فَمِنْ عِندِكَ ۖ

    وَمَآ أُرِيدُ أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَيْكَ ۚ

    سَتَجِدُنِىٓ إِن شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ

    Qaala innee ureedu an unkihaka ihdab nataiya haataini

    alaaa an taajuranee samaaniya hijaj;

    fa in atmamta 'ashran

    famin 'indika

    wa maaa ureedu an ashuqqa 'alaik;

    satajiduneee in shaaa'al laahu minas saaliheen

    shuaib said: verily I want to wed one of these two daughters of mine to you.
    on the condition that you serve me for eight years.
    But if you complete ten years.
    Then it will be from you
    and I not want to make it difficult for you.
    if Allah wills you will find me one of the righteous.

    kaha mai chahta hun ke apni in dono betyon me se ek tumhe biyah dun
    us mohar par ke tum aath baras meri mulazimat karo
    phir agar poore das baras kar lo
    to tumhari taraf se hai
    aur mai tumhe mashaqqat me daalna nahi chahta
    qareeb hai Insha Allah tum mujhe nekon me pao ge.

    28.28

     قَالَ ذَٰلِكَ بَيْنِى وَبَيْنَكَ ۖ

    أَيَّمَا ٱلْأَجَلَيْنِ قَضَيْتُ

    فَلَا عُدْوَٰنَ عَلَىَّ ۖ

    وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ مَا نَقُولُ وَكِيلٌ

    Qaala zaalika bainee wa bainaka

    aiyamal ajalaini qadaitu

    falaa 'udwaana 'alaiya

    wallaahu 'alaa ma naqoolu Wakeel

    Moses Said: that is between me and you
    whichever of the two terms I fulfil,
    there will be no injustice to me
    and Allah over The Ultimate Strong what we say.

    Moosa ne kaha yeh mere aur aap ke darmiyan iqraar ho chuka,
    mai un dono me jo bhi miyaad poori kar dun
    to mujh par koi mutalba nahi,
    aur hamare us kahe par Allah ka zimma hai.

    28.29

     فَلَمَّا قَضَىٰ مُوسَى ٱلْأَجَلَ

    وَسَارَ بِأَهْلِهِۦٓ

    ءَانَسَ مِن جَانِبِ ٱلطُّورِ نَارًا

    قَالَ لِأَهْلِهِ ٱمْكُثُوٓا۟

    إِنِّىٓ ءَانَسْتُ نَارًا

    لَّعَلِّىٓ ءَاتِيكُم مِّنْهَا بِخَبَرٍ

    أَوْ جَذْوَةٍ مِّنَ ٱلنَّارِ

    لَعَلَّكُمْ تَصْطَلُونَ

    Falammaa qadaa Moosal ajala

    wa saara bi ahliheee

    aanasa min jaanibit Toori naaran

    qaala li ahlihim kusooo

    inneee aanastu naaral

    la 'alleee aateekum minhaa bikhabarin

    aw jazwatim minan naari

    la 'allakum tastaloon

    then when Moses had fulfiled the term
    and was travelling with his family.
    He saw a fire in the direction of the tur mount.
    He said to his family, wait.
    Verily I have see a fire.
    Perhaps I may bring to you from there some information,
    or a burning brand of fire,
    that you may warm yourselves.

    phir jab Moosa ne apni meyaad poori kar di
    aur apni bibi ko le kar chala
    tor ki taraf se ek aag dekhi
    apni ghar wali se kaha tum thahro
    mujhe tor ki taraf se ek aag nazar parhi hai
    shayad mai wahan se kuch khabar laun
    ya tumahre liye koi aag ki chingari laun
    ke tum taapu.

    28.30

    فَلَمَّآ أَتَىٰهَا

    نُودِىَ مِن شَٰطِئِ ٱلْوَادِ ٱلْأَيْمَنِ

    فِى ٱلْبُقْعَةِ ٱلْمُبَٰرَكَةِ مِنَ ٱلشَّجَرَةِ

    أَن يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ

    إِنِّىٓ أَنَا ٱللَّهُ  رَبُّ  ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

    Falammaaa ataahaa

    noodiya min shaati'il waadil aimani

    fil buq'atil muubaarakati minash shajarati

    ai yaa Moosaaa

    inneee Anal laahu Rabbul 'aalameen

    So when be reached it
    he was called from the right the side of the valley
    in place the blessed from the tree;
    saying that O Moses!
    Verily, I am Allah, the Raub of the worlds .

    phir jab aag ke paas haazir huwa
    nida ki gayi maidan ke dahene kinare se
    barkat wale maqam me pairh se
    ke ae Moosa!
    beshak mai hi hon Allah rab saare Jahan ka.

    28.31

     وَأَنْ أَلْقِ عَصَاكَ ۖ

    فَلَمَّا رَءَاهَا تَهْتَزُّ

    كَأَنَّهَا جَآنٌّ وَلَّىٰ مُدْبِرًا

    وَلَمْ يُعَقِّبْ ۚ

    يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ أَقْبِلْ وَلَا تَخَفْ ۖ

    إِنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْءَامِنِينَ

    Wa an alqi 'asaaka

    falam maa ra aahaa tahtazzu

    ka annahaa jaaannunw wallaa mudbiranw

    wa lam yu'aqqib;

    yaa Moosaa aqbil wa laa takhaf

    innaka minal aamineen

    and throw your stick!
    But when he saw it moving
    as if it were a snake. He turned in flight,
    and not looked back.
    O Moses! Draw near and not fear.
    Verily you are of those who are secure. 

    aur yeh ke daal de apna asa
    phir jab Moosa ne use dekha lehrata huwa
    goya saanp hai peeth phair kar chala
    aur murh kar na dekha
    ae Moosa samne aa aur dar nahi,
    beshak tujhe Amaan hai.

    28.32

     ٱسْلُكْ يَدَكَ فِى جَيْبِكَ

    تَخْرُجْ بَيْضَآءَ مِنْ غَيْرِ سُوٓءٍ

    وَٱضْمُمْ إِلَيْكَ جَنَاحَكَ مِنَ ٱلرَّهْبِ ۖ

    فَذَٰنِكَ بُرْهَٰنَانِ مِن رَّبِّكَ

    إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَإِي۟هِۦٓ ۚ

    إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَوْمًا فَٰسِقِينَ

    Usluk yadaka fee jaibika

    takhruj baidaaa'a min ghairi sooo'inw

    wadmum ilaika janaahaka minar rahbi

    fazaanika burhaanaani mir Rabbika

    ilaa Fiw'awna wa mala'ih;

    innahum kaanoo qawman faasiqeen

    Put your hand in your bosom;
    it will come forth white without disease
    and draw to you your hand from the fear,
    these are two evidences from your Raub,
    to pharaoh and his chiefs.
    Verily they are a people who are rebellious.

    apna haath girebaan me daal
    nikle ga safaid chamakta be aib
    aur apna haath seene par rakh le khauf door karne ko
    to yeh do hujjaten hain tere rab ki
    firaon aur us ke darbaryon ki taraf,
    beshak woh be hukum log hain.

    28.33

     قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّى قَتَلْتُ مِنْهُمْ نَفْسًا

    فَأَخَافُ أَن يَقْتُلُونِ

    Qaala Rabbi innee qataltu minhum nafsan

    fa akhaafu ai yaqtuloon

    He said: My Raub verily I have killed a man of them.
    and I fear that they will kill me.

    arz ki ae mere rab! mai ne un me ek jaan maar daali hai
    to darta hon ke mujhe qatal kar den.

    28.34

     وَأَخِى هَٰرُونُ هُوَ أَفْصَحُ مِنِّى لِسَانًا

    فَأَرْسِلْهُ مَعِىَ رِدْءًا يُصَدِّقُنِىٓ ۖ

    إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ أَن يُكَذِّبُونِ

    Wa akhee Haaroonu huwa afsahu minnee lisaanan

    fa arsilhu ma'iya rid ai yusaddiquneee

    innee akhaafu ai yukazziboon

    and my brother Aaron Harun he is more eloquent in speech that me.
    So send him with me as a helper to fonfirm me.
    Verily I fear that they will deny me.

    aur mera bhai Haroon is ki zubaan mujh se ziyada saaf hai 
    to use meri madad ke liye rasool bana, ke meri tasdeeq kere
    mujhe dar hai ke woh mujhe jhutlaye ge ,.

    28.35

     قَالَ سَنَشُدُّ عَضُدَكَ بِأَخِيكَ

    وَنَجْعَلُ لَكُمَا سُلْطَٰنًا

    فَلَا يَصِلُونَ إِلَيْكُمَا ۚ

    بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ أَنتُمَا وَمَنِ ٱتَّبَعَكُمَا ٱلْغَٰلِبُونَ

    Qaala sanashuddu 'adudaka bi akheeka

    wa naj'alu lakumaa sultaanan

    falaa yasiloona ilaikumaa;

    bi Aayaatinaa antumaa wa manit taba'akumal ghaaliboon

    Allah said: we will strengthen your arm through your brother
    and give make for you both power.
    So they not shall reach you both
    with our auyat You two and those who follow you will be the victors.

    farmaya, qareeb hai ke hum tere baazu ko tere bhai se quwat den ge
    aur tum dono ko ghalba ataa farmayen ge
    to woh tum dono ka kuch nuqsaan na kar saken ge
    hamari nishanion ke sabab tum dono aur jo tumhari pairwi karen ge ghalib aao ge

    28.36

     فَلَمَّا جَآءَهُم مُّوسَىٰ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا بَيِّنَٰتٍ

    قَالُوا۟ مَا هَٰذَآ إِلَّا سِحْرٌ مُّفْتَرًى

    وَمَا سَمِعْنَا بِهَٰذَا فِىٓ ءَابَآئِنَا ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ

    Falammaa jaaa'ahum Moosaa bi Aayaatinaa baiyinaatin

    qaaloo maa haazaaa illaa sihrum muftaranw

    wa maa sami'naa bihaazaa feee aabaaa'inal awwaleen

    then when Moses came to them with our clear signs
    they said: this is nothing but invented magic
    and never did we heard of this among in our fathers of old.

    phir jab Moosa un ke paas hamari roshan nishanen laya
    bole yeh to nahi magar banawat ka jadu
    aur hum ne apne agle baap dadaon me aisa na suna.

    28.37

    وَقَالَ مُوسَىٰ

    رَبِّىٓ أَعْلَمُ بِمَن جَآءَ بِٱلْهُدَىٰ مِنْ عِندِهِۦ

    وَمَن تَكُونُ لَهُۥ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلدَّارِ

    ۖ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُفْلِحُ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ

    Wa qaala Moosaa

    Rabbeee a'alamu biman jaaa'a bilhudaa min 'indihee

    wa man takoonu lahoo 'aaqibatud daari

    innahoo laa yuflihuz zaalimoon

    and said Moses:
    My Raub knows best of who came with guidance from him
    and whose will be the happy end in the hereafter,
    verily will not be successful the wrong-doers.

    aur Moosa ne farmaya
    mera rab khoob jaanta hai jo us ke paas se hidaayat laya
    aur jis ke liye akhirat ka ghar ho ga
    beshak zalim morad ko nahi pahunchte.

    28.38

    وَقَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ

    يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْمَلَأُ

    مَا عَلِمْتُ لَكُم مِّنْ إِلَٰهٍ غَيْرِى

    فَأَوْقِدْ لِى يَٰهَٰمَٰنُ عَلَى ٱلطِّينِ

    فَٱجْعَل لِّى صَرْحًا

    لَّعَلِّىٓ أَطَّلِعُ إِلَىٰٓ إِلَٰهِ مُوسَىٰ

    وَإِنِّى لَأَظُنُّهُۥ مِنَ ٱلْكَٰذِبِينَ

    Wa qaala Fir'awnu

    yaaa aiyuhal mala-u

    maa 'alimtu lakum min ilaahin ghairee

    fa awqid lee yaa Haamaanu 'alatteeni

    faj'al lee sarhal

    la'alleee attali'u ilaaa ilaahi Moosaa

    wa innee la azunnuhoo minal kaazibeen

    and said pharaoh;
    O chiefs!
    I not know that you have any god other than me.
    O haman! So kindle for me on clay,
    and set up for me a lofty tower.
    So thet I may I look at the god of Moosa
    And verily I think that he is one of the liars.

    aur firaon bola,
    ae darbariyon!
    mai tumahre liye apne siwa koi khuda nahi jaanta
    to ae Haman ! mere liye gaarha pakka kar ek mehal bana
    ke shayad mai Moosa ke khuda ko jhaank aon
    aur beshak mere gumaan me to woh jhoota hai.

    28.39

     وَٱسْتَكْبَرَ هُوَ وَجُنُودُهُۥ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ ٱلْحَقِّ

    وَظَنُّوٓا۟ أَنَّهُمْ إِلَيْنَا لَا يُرْجَعُونَ

    Wastakbara huwa wa junooduhoo fil ardi bighairil haqqi

    wa zannooo annahum ilainaa laa yurja'oon

    and was arrogant he and his hosts soldiers in that land without right
    and they thought that they would never return to us.

    aur us ne aur us ke lashkaryon ne zameen me be ja barhayi chahi
    aur samjhe ke unhen hamari taraf phirna nahi.

    28.40

     فَأَخَذْنَٰهُ وَجُنُودَهُۥ

    فَنَبَذْنَٰهُمْ فِى ٱلْيَمِّ ۖ

    فَٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

    Fa akhaznaahu wa junoo dahoo

    fanabaznaahum fil yammi

    fanzur kaifa kaana 'aaqibatuz zaalimeen

    so we seized him and his hosts soldiers
    and we threw hem in the sea.
    So behold who was the end of the wrong-doers! 

    to hum ne use aur us ke lashkar ko pakrha 
    aur darya me pheink diya
    to dekho kaisa anjaam huwa sitamgaro ka.

    28.41

     وَجَعَلْنَٰهُمْ أَئِمَّةً يَدْعُونَ إِلَى ٱلنَّارِ ۖ

    وَيَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ لَا يُنصَرُونَ

    Wa ja'alnaahum a'immatany yad'oona ilan Naari

    wa Yawmal Qiyaamati laa yunsaroon

    and we have made them leaders inviting to the fire
    and on the day of resurrection they not will be helped.

    aur unhen hum ne dozakhyon ka peshwa banaya ke aag ki taraf bulate hain
    aur qayamat ke din un ki madad na ho gi.

    28.42

     وَأَتْبَعْنَٰهُمْ فِى هَٰذِهِ ٱلدُّنْيَا لَعْنَةً ۖ

    وَيَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ هُم مِّنَ ٱلْمَقْبُوحِينَ

    Wa atba'naahum fee haazihid dunyaa la'natanw

    wa Yawmal Qiyaamati hum minal maqbooheen

    and we made a curse to follow them in this world,
    and on the day of resurrection they will be among the despised.

    aur us duniya me hum ne un ke peeche laanat lagai
    aur qayamat ke din un ka bura hai.

    28.43

    وَلَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَا مُوسَى ٱلْكِتَٰبَ

    مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَآ أَهْلَكْنَا ٱلْقُرُونَ ٱلْأُولَىٰ

    بَصَآئِرَ لِلنَّاسِ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةً

    لَّعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ

    Wa laqad aatainaa Moosal Kitaaba

    mim ba'di maaa ahlaknal quroonal oolaa

    basaaa'ira linnaasi wa hudanw wa rahmatal

    la'allahum yata zakkkaroon

    and indeed we gave Moses the scripture,
    after we had destroyed the generations of old
    as enlightenment for mankind and a guidance and a mercy
    that they might remember. 

    aur beshak hum ne Moosa ko kitaab ataa farmai
    baad is ke ke agli sangaten ( qoumen ) helaak farma den
    jis me logon ke dil ki ankhen kholne wali baaten aur hidaayat aur rehmat
    taake woh naseehat manen.

    28.44

     وَمَا كُنتَ بِجَانِبِ ٱلْغَرْبِىِّ

    إِذْ قَضَيْنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَى ٱلْأَمْرَ

    وَمَا كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلشَّٰهِدِينَ

    Wa maa kunta bijaanibil gharbiyyi

    iz qadainaaa ilaa Moosal amra

    wa maa kunta minash shaahideen

    and you not were on the western side
    when we made clear to Moses the commanment
    and not you were among the witnesses 

    aur tum tor ki janib maghrib me na the
    jabke hum ne Moosa ko risalat ka hukum bheja
    aur us waqt tum haazir na the.

    28.45

     وَلَٰكِنَّآ أَنشَأْنَا قُرُونًا

    فَتَطَاوَلَ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْعُمُرُ ۚ

    وَمَا كُنتَ ثَاوِيًا فِىٓ أَهْلِ مَدْيَنَ

    تَتْلُوا۟ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَٰتِنَا

    وَلَٰكِنَّا كُنَّا مُرْسِلِينَ

    Wa laakinnaa anshaanaa quroonan

    fatataawala 'alaihimul 'umur;

    wa maa kunta saawiyan feee ahli Madyana

    tatloo 'alaihim Aayaatinaa

    wa laakinnaa kunnaa mursileen

    But we created generations
    and long were the ages over them
    and you were not a dweller in the people of madyan
    reciting our auyaats to them
    but we were kept sending.

    magar huwa yeh ke hum ne sangaten paida kee
    ke un par zamana daraaz guzra
    aur na tum ehle Madyan me muqeem the
    un par hamari ayaten parhte hue,
    haan hum rasool banane wale howe.

    28.46

     وَمَا كُنتَ بِجَانِبِ ٱلطُّورِ إِذْ نَادَيْنَا

    وَلَٰكِن رَّحْمَةً مِّن رَّبِّكَ

    لِتُنذِرَ قَوْمًا

    مَّآ أَتَىٰهُم مِّن نَّذِيرٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ

    لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ

    Wa maa kunta bijaanibit Toori iz naadainaa

    wa laakir rahmatam mir Rabbika

    litunzira qawmam

    maaa ataahum min nazeerim min qablika

    la'allahum yatazakkaroon

    and you not were at the side of the Tur mount when we called
    but as a mercy from your Raub
    that you give warning to a people
    not warner had come before you in order
    that they may remember or receive admonition.

    aur na tum tor ke kinare the jab hum ne nida farmai
    haan tumahre rab ki mohar hai
    ( ke tumhe ghaib ka ilm diye )
    ke tum aisi qoum ko dar sunaao
    jis ke paas tum se pehle koi dar sunane wala na aaya
    yeh umeed karte hue ke un ko naseehat ho.

    28.47

     وَلَوْلَآ أَن تُصِيبَ هُم  مُّصِيبَةٌۢ

    بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ

    فَيَقُولُوا۟ رَبَّنَا

    لَوْلَآ أَرْسَلْتَ إِلَيْنَا رَسُولًا

    فَنَتَّبِعَ ءَايَٰتِكَ

    وَنَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

    Wa law laaa an tuseebahum museebatum

    bimaa qaddamat aideehim

    fa yaqooloo Rabbanaa

    law laaa arsalta ilainaa Rasoolan

    fanattabi'a Aayaatika

    wa nakoona minal mu'mineen

    and if not that seize them a calamity
    for what have sent forth their hands
    they would have said: Our Raub!
    Why you did not sent to us a Prophet
    we would then have followed your Aayat
    and we would have been among the believers.

    aur agar na hota ke kabhi pahunchti inhen koi museebat
    is ke sabab jo un ke hathon ne age bheja
    to kehte, ae hamare rab!
    to ne kyun na bheja hamari taraf koi rasool
    ke hum teri ayaton ki pairwi karte
    aur imaan late.

    28.48

     فَلَمَّا جَآءَ هُمُ  ٱلْحَقُّ مِنْ عِندِنَا

    قَالُوا۟ لَوْلَآ أُوتِىَ مِثْلَ مَآ أُوتِىَ مُوسَىٰٓ

    ۚ أَوَلَمْ يَكْفُرُوا۟ بِمَآ أُوتِىَ مُوسَىٰ مِن قَبْلُ ۖ

    قَالُوا۟ سِحْرَانِ تَظَٰهَرَا

    وَقَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا بِكُلٍّ كَٰفِرُونَ

    Falammaa jaaa'ahumul haqqu min 'indinaa

    qaaloo law laa ootiya misla maaa ootiyaa Moosaa;

    awalam yakfuroo bimaaa ootiya Moosaa min qablu

    qaaloo sihraani tazaaharaa

    wa qaalooo innaa bikullin kaafiroon

    but when the truth has come to them from us
    they said: why is he not given the like of what was given to Moses!
    Did they not disbelieve in what was give to Moses before?
    They said: “two kinds of magic each helping one another”!
    and they said “verily in both disbelievers”.

    phir jab un ke paas haq aaya hamari taraf se
    bole unhen kyun na diya gaya jo Moosa ko diya gaya
    kya us ke munkir na hue the jo pehle Moosa ko diya gaya
    bole do jadu hain ek dosre ki pushti ( imdaad ) par
    aur bole hum un dono ke munkir hain.

    28.49

     قُلْ فَأْتُوا۟ بِكِتَٰبٍ مِّنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ

    هُوَ أَهْدَىٰ مِنْهُمَآ

    أَتَّبِعْهُ  إِن  كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ

    Qul faatoo bi Kitaabim min 'indil laahi

    huwa ahdaa minhumaaa

    attabi'hu in kuntum saadiqeen

    Say: then bring a scripture from Allah
    which is better guide than these two.
    That I may follow it. if you are truthful.

    tum farmao to Allah ke paas se koi kitaab le aao
    jo un dono kitabon se ziyada hidaayat ki ho
    mai us ki pairwi karoon ga agar tum sache ho.

    28.50

     فَإِن لَّمْ يَسْتَجِيبُوا۟ لَكَ

    فَٱعْلَمْ أَنَّمَا يَتَّبِعُونَ أَهْوَآءَهُمْ ۚ

    وَمَنْ أَضَلُّ مِمَّنِ ٱتَّبَعَ هَوَىٰهُ

    بِغَيْرِ هُدًى مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ

    ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

    Fa il lam yastajeeboo laka

    fa'lam annamaa yattabi'oona ahwaaa'ahum;

    wa man adallu mimmanit taba'a hawaahu

    bighari hudam minal laah;

    innal laaha laa yahdil qawmaz zaalimeen 

    but if not they answer to you
    then know that they only follow their own lusts
    and who is more astray than one who follows his own lust
    without guidance from Allah.
    Verily Allah not guides the people wrong-doers

    phir agar woh yeh tumhara farmana qubool na karen
    to jaan lo ke bas woh apni khawahishon hi ke peeche hain,
    aur us se barh kar gumraah kaun jo apni khwahish ki pairwi kere
    Allah ki hadaayat se judda,
    beshak Allah hidaayat nahi farmata zalim logon ko.

    28.51

     وَلَقَدْ وَصَّلْنَا لَهُمُ ٱلْقَوْلَ

    لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ

    Wa laqad wassalnaa lahumul qawla

    la'allahum yatazakkaroon

    and indeed we have conveyed to them the word in order
    that they may remember.

    aur beshak hum ne un ke liye baat musalsal utari
    ke woh dheyaan Karen.

    28.52

     ٱلَّذِينَ ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمُ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ مِن قَبْلِهِۦ

    هُم بِهِۦ يُؤْمِنُونَ

    Allazeena aatainaahu mul Kitaaba min qablihee

    hum bihee yu'minoon

    those to whom we gave the scripture before it,
    they believe in it.

    jin ko hum ne us se pahle kitaab di
    woh us par imaan laate hain.

    28.53

     وَإِذَا يُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ

    قَالُوٓا۟ ءَامَنَّا بِهِۦٓ

    إِنَّهُ ٱلْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّنَآ

    إِنَّا كُنَّا مِن قَبْلِهِۦ مُسْلِمِينَ

    Wa izaa yutlaa 'alaihim

    qaaloo aamannaa biheee

    innahul haqqu mir rabbinaaa

    innaa kunnaa min qablihee muslimeen

    and when it is recited to them
    they say: we believe in it.
    verily it is the truth from our Raub.
    Indeed before it we have been from those who submit to Allah.

    aur jab un par yeh ayaten parhi jati hain
    kehte hain hum us par imaan laaye,
    beshak yahi haq hai hamare rab ke taraf se
    hum us se pehle hi gardan rakh chuke the.

    28.54

     أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ يُؤْتَوْنَ أَجْرَهُم مَّرَّتَيْنِ بِمَا صَبَرُوا۟

    وَيَدْرَءُونَ بِٱلْحَسَنَةِ ٱلسَّيِّئَةَ

    وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَٰهُمْ يُنفِقُونَ

    Ulaaa'ika yu'tawna ajrahum marratayni bimaa sabaroo

    wa yadra'oona bil hasanatis saiyi'ata

    wa mimmmaa razaq naahum yunfiqoon

    these will be given their reward twice because they are patient
    and repel evil with good
    and spend out of what we have provided them.

    un ko un ka ajer dobala diya jaye ga badla un ke sabr ka
    aur woh bhalai se buraiee ko talte hain
    aur hamare diye se kuch hamari raah me kharch karte hain.

    28.55

    وَإِذَا سَمِعُوا۟ ٱللَّغْوَ

    أَعْرَضُوا۟ عَنْهُ

    وَقَالُوا۟ لَنَآ أَعْمَٰلُنَا

    وَلَكُمْ أَعْمَٰلُكُمْ

    سَلَٰمٌ عَلَيْكُمْ

    لَا نَبْتَغِى ٱلْجَٰهِلِينَ

    Wa izaa sami'ul laghwa

    a'radoo 'anhu

    wa qaaloo lanaaa a'maalunaa

    wa lakum a'maalukum

    salaamun 'alaikum

    laa nabtaghil jaahileen

    and when they hear evil vain talk
    they withdraw from it and
    say: to us our deeds
    and to you your deeds,
    safety be to you
    we not seek the ignorant.

    aur jab behooda baat sunte hain
    us se taghaful karte hain
    aur kehte hain hamare liye hamare amal
    aur tumahre liye tumahre amal,
    bas tum par salam
    hum jahilon ke gharzi nahi.

    28.56

     إِنَّكَ لَا تَهْدِى مَنْ أَحْبَبْتَ

    وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَهْدِى مَن يَشَآءُ ۚ

    وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِٱلْمُهْتَدِينَ

    Innaka laa tahdee man ahbata

    wa laakinna laaha yahdee mai yashaaa

    wa Huwa a'lamu bilmuhtadeen

    verily you not guide whom you like
    but Allah guides whom he wills
    and he knows best those who are the guided

    beshak yeh nahi ke tum jise apni taraf se chaho hidaayat kar do
    haan Allah hidaayat farmata hai jise chahe,
    aur woh khoob jaanta hai hadaayat walon ko.

    28.57

    وَقَالُوٓا۟ إِن نَّتَّبِعِ ٱلْهُدَىٰ مَعَكَ

    نُتَخَطَّفْ مِنْ أَرْضِنَآ ۚ

    أَوَلَمْ نُمَكِّن لَّهُمْ حَرَمًا ءَامِنًا

    يُجْبَىٰٓ إِلَيْهِ ثَمَرَٰتُ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ

    رِّزْقًا مِّن لَّدُنَّا

    وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ

    Wa qaalooo in nattabi'il hudaa ma'aka

    nutakhattaf min ardinaa;

    Awalam numakkkil lahum haraman aaminany

    yujbaaa ilaihi samaraatu kulli shai'ir

    rizqam mil ladunnaa

    wa laakinna aksarahum laa ya'lamoon

    and they say: “if we follow the guidance with you
    we would be snatched away from our land 
    Have we not established for them a secure santuary?
    To which are brought fruits of all kinds
    a provision from ourselves
    but most of them not know. 

    aur kahte hain agar hum tumahre sath hidaayat ki pairwi karen
    to log hamare milk se hame uchak le jayen ge
    kya hum ne unhen jagah na di Aman wali haram me
    jis ki taraf har cheez ke phal laaye jaate hain
    hamare paas ki rozi
    lekin un me aksar ko ilm nahi.

    28.58

     وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَرْيَةٍۭ

    بَطِرَتْ مَعِيشَتَهَا ۖ

    فَتِلْكَ مَسَٰكِنُهُمْ

    لَمْ تُسْكَن مِّنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا ۖ

    وَكُنَّا نَحْنُ ٱلْوَٰرِثِينَ

    Wa kam ahlaknaa min qaryatim

    batirat ma'eeshatahaa

    fatilka masaainuhum

    lam tuskam mim ba'dihim illaa qaleelaa

    wa kunnaa Nahnul waariseen

    and how many a town we have destroyed
    from which were thankless for its means of livlihood
    and those of their dwellings
    have not been inhabited after them except a little
    and verily we have are the inheritors.

    aur kitne shaher hum ne halaak kar diye
    jo apne aish par Itra gaye the
    to yeh hain un ke makaan
    ke un ke baad un me sukoonat na howi magar kam
    aur hum hi waris hain

    28.59

     وَمَا كَانَ رَبُّكَ مُهْلِكَ ٱلْقُرَىٰ

    حَتَّىٰ يَبْعَثَ فِىٓ أُمِّهَا رَسُولًا

    يَتْلُوا۟ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَٰتِنَا ۚ

    وَمَا كُنَّا  مُهْلِكِى  ٱلْقُرَىٰٓ

    إِلَّا وَأَهْلُهَا ظَٰلِمُونَ

    Wa maa kaana Rabbuka muhlikal quraa

    hattaa yab'asa feee ummihaa Rasoolany

    yatloo 'alaihim aayaatina;

    wa maa kunnaa muhlikil quraaa

    illaa wa ahluhaa zaalimoon

    and never was your Raub to destroy the towns
    until he sends a Prophet in to their mother town
    reciting to them our auyaats
    and we not were to destroy the towns
    unless their people are wrong-doers

    aur tumhara rab shahron ko halaak nahi karta
    jab tak un ke asal marja me rasool na bheje
    jo un par hamari ayaten parhe
    aur hum shahron ko helaak nahi karte
    magar jabke un ke saakin sitamgar hon.

    28.60

    وَمَآ أُوتِيتُم مِّن شَىْءٍ

    فَمَتَٰعُ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَزِينَتُهَا ۚ

    وَمَا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰٓ ۚ

    أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ

    Wa maaa ooteetum min shai'in

    famataa'ul hayaatid dunyaa wa zeenatuhaa

    wa maa 'indal laahi khairunw wa abqaa

    Afalaa ta'qiloon 

    and whatever you have been give from things
    is an enjoyment of the worldly life and its adornment
    and that which is with Allah is better and will remain forever.
    Have you not sense

    aur jo kuch cheez tumhe di gayi hai
    aur dunyawi zindagi ka bartawa aur us ka singhar hai
    aur jo Allah ke paas hai woh behtar aur ziyada baqi rahne wala
    to kya tumhe aqal nahi.

    28.61

    أَفَمَن وَعَدْنَٰهُ وَعْدًا حَسَنًا

    فَهُوَ لَٰقِيهِ

    كَمَن مَّتَّعْنَٰهُ مَتَٰعَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا

    ثُمَّ هُوَ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ مِنَ ٱلْمُحْضَرِينَ

    Afamanw wa'adnaahu wa'dan hasanan

    fahuwa laaqeehi

    kamam matta'naahu mataa'al hayaatid dunyaa

    summa huwa Yawmal Qiyaamati minal muhdareen

    Is he whom we have promised him an excellent promise
    which he finds it true. 
    Like him whom we have made to enjoy luxuries of the worldly life
    then he on the day of resurrection will be among those who are brought up? 

    to kya woh jise hum ne acha wada diya
    to woh us se mile ga
    us jaisa ha jise hum ne dunyawi zindagi ka bartao baratne diya
    phir woh qayamat ke din girftar kar ke haazir laya jaye ga

    28.62

     وَيَوْمَ يُنَادِيهِمْ

    فَيَقُولُ أَيْنَ شُرَكَآءِىَ

    ٱلَّذِينَ كُنتُمْ تَزْعُمُونَ

    Wa Yawma yunaadeehim

    fa yaqoolu aina shurakaaa 'iy

    al lazeena kuntum taz'umoon

    and remember the day he will call to them
    and say: “where are my partners
    whom you used to assert?”

    aur jis din unhen nida kere ga
    to farmaiye ga kahan hain mere woh shareek
    jinhen tum gumaan karte the

    28.63

    قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ حَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْقَوْلُ

    رَبَّنَا هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ ٱلَّذِينَ أَغْوَيْنَآ

    أَغْوَيْنَٰهُمْ كَمَا غَوَيْنَا ۖ

    تَبَرَّأْنَآ إِلَيْكَ ۖ

    مَا كَانُوٓا۟ إِيَّانَا يَعْبُدُونَ

    Qaalal lazeena haqqa 'alaihimul qawlu

    Rabbanaa haaa'ulaaa'il lazeena aghwainaa

    aghwainaahum kamaa ghawainaa

    tabarraanaaa ilaika

    maa kaanoo iyyaanaa ya'budoon

    will say those about whom the word will has come true;
    Our Raub! These are they whom we led astray.
    We led them astray as we were astray ourslves.
    We declare our innocence from them before you.
    they not were us they worshipped.

    kahen ge woh jin par baat saabit ho chuki
    ae hamare rab yeh hain woh jinhen hum ne gumraah kya,
    hum ne unhen gumraah kya jaise khud gumraah howe the
    hum un se bezaar ho kar teri taraf rujoo laate hain
    woh hum ko na pujte the.

    28.64

     وَقِيلَ ٱدْعُوا۟ شُرَكَآءَكُمْ

    فَدَعَوْهُمْ

    فَلَمْ يَسْتَجِيبُوا۟ لَهُمْ

    وَرَأَوُا۟ ٱلْعَذَابَ ۚ

    لَوْ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ يَهْتَدُونَ

    Wa qeelad 'oo shurakaaa'akum

    fada'awhum

    falam yastajeeboo lahum

    wa ra awul 'azaab;

    law annahum kaanoo yahtadoon

    and it will be said call upon your partners
    and they will call upon them
    but they not will answer to them
    and they will see the torment.
    If only they had been guided! 

    aur un se farmaya jaye ga apne sharikon ko pukaro
    to woh pukaaren ge
    to woh un ki na sune ge
    aur dekhen ge azaab,
    kya acha hota agar woh raah paate.

    28.65

     وَيَوْمَ يُنَادِيهِمْ

    فَيَقُولُ مَاذَآ أَجَبْتُمُ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

    Wa Yawma yunaadeehim

    fa yaqoolu maazaaa ajabtumul mursaleen

    and remember the day when he will call them
    and he says: “what did answer the Prophets?”

    aur jis din unhen nida kare ga
    to farmaiye ga tum ne rasoolon ko kya jawab diya.

    28.66

     فَعَمِيَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْأَنۢبَآءُ يَوْمَئِذٍ

    فَهُمْ لَا يَتَسَآءَلُونَ

    Fa'amiyat 'alaihimul ambaaa'u Yawma'izin

    fahum laa yatasaaa'aloon

    then the news will be obscured to them on that day
    and they not will be able to ask one another.

    to us din un par khabren andhi ho jayen gi
    to woh kuch pooch guch na karen ge.

    28.67

     فَأَمَّا مَن تَابَ وَءَامَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَٰلِحًا

    فَعَسَىٰٓ أَن يَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُفْلِحِينَ

    Fa ammaa man taaba wa aamana wa 'amila saalihan fa'asaaa ai yakoona minal mufliheen

     

    but as for him who repented and believed and did righteus deeds then hopefully that he will be among those who are successful.


    ( 67 ) to woh jis ne tauba ki aur imaan laya aur acha kaam kya qareeb hai ke woh raah yab ho.

    28.68

     وَرَبُّكَ يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَآءُ وَيَخْتَارُ

    ۗ مَا كَانَ لَهُمُ ٱلْخِيَرَةُ

    ۚ سُبْحَٰنَ ٱللَّهِ

    وَتَعَٰلَىٰ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ

    Wa Rabbuka yakhuluqu maa yashaaa'u wa yakhtaar

    maa kaana lahumul khiyarah

    Subhannal laahi

    wa Ta'aalaa 'ammaa yushrikoon

    and your Raub creates whatsoever he wills and choses.
    They not have for them choice.
    Glorified be Allah
    and exalted is he about all that they associate as partners with him.

    aur tumhara rab paida karta hai jo chahe aur pasand farmata hai
    un ka kuch ikhtiyar nahi,
    paki hai Allah ko
    aur bartari un ke shirk se.

    28.69

     وَرَبُّكَ يَعْلَمُ

    مَا تُكِنُّ صُدُورُهُمْ

    وَمَا يُعْلِنُونَ

    Wa Rabbuka ya'lamu

    maa tukinnu sudooruhum

    wa maa yu'linoon

    and your Raub knows
    what their breasts conceal
    and what they reveal.

    aur tumhara rab jaanta hai
    jo un ke seenon me chhupa hai
    aur jo zahir karte hain.

    28.70

     وَهُوَ ٱللَّهُ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ

    لَهُ ٱلْحَمْدُ فِى ٱلْأُولَىٰ وَٱلْءَاخِرَةِ ۖ

    وَلَهُ ٱلْحُكْمُ

    وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ

    Wa Huwal laahu laaa ilaaha illaa Huwa

    lahul hamdu fil oolaa wal Aakhirati

    wa lahul hukmu

    wa ilaihi turja'oon

    And he Allah no god but he
    His is all praise in the first and in the last
    and his is the decision
    and to him you be returned.

    aur wohi hai Allah ke koi khuda nahi us ke siwa
    usi ki taraf hai duniya aur akhirat me
    aur usi ka hukum hai
    aur usi ki taraf phir jao ge.

    28.71

     قُلْ أَرَءَيْتُمْ إِن جَعَلَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلَّيْلَ

    سَرْمَدًا إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ

    مَنْ إِلَٰهٌ غَيْرُ ٱللَّهِ

    يَأْتِيكُم بِضِيَآءٍ ۖ

    أَفَلَا تَسْمَعُونَ

    Qul ara'aitum in ja'alal laahu 'alaikumul laila

    sarmadan ilaa Yawmil Qiyaamati

    man ilaahun ghairul laahi

    yaa teekum bidiyaaa'in

    Afalaa tasma'oon

    Say: do you tell me if Allah made the night for you
    continous till the day of resurrction
    Who is god besides Allah
    could bring you light
    will you not then hear

    tum farmao bhala dekho to agar Allah tum par raat rakhe 
    hamesha qayamat ke din tak
    to Allah ke siwa kon khuda hai
    jo tumhe roshni laa de
    to kya tum sunte nahi.

    28.72

     قُلْ أَرَءَيْتُمْ

    إِن جَعَلَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلنَّهَارَ

    سَرْمَدًا إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ

    مَنْ إِلَٰهٌ غَيْرُ ٱللَّهِ

    يَأْتِيكُم بِلَيْلٍ تَسْكُنُونَ فِيهِ ۖ

    أَفَلَا تُبْصِرُونَ

    Qul ara'aitum

    in ja'alal laahu 'alaikumun nahaara

    sarmadan ilaa Yawmil Qiyaamati

    man ilaahun ghairul laahi

    yaateekum bilailin taskunoona feehi

    Afalaa tubsiroon

    Say: do you tell me.
    If Allah made the day continuous for you
    till the day of resurrection.
    Who is god besides Allah
    could bring you night wherein you will rest.
    Will you not then see?

    tum farmao bhala dekho to
    agar Allah tum per din rakhe
    qayamat tak hamesha 
    to Allah ke siwa kon khuda hai
    jo tumhe raat laa de jis me aaraam karo
    to kya tumhe sujhta nahi.

    28.73

     وَمِن رَّحْمَتِهِۦ

    جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلَّيْلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ

    لِتَسْكُنُوا۟ فِيهِ

    وَلِتَبْتَغُوا۟ مِن فَضْلِهِۦ

    وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ

    Wa mir rahmatihee

    ja'ala lakumul laila wannahaara

    litaskunoo feehi

    wa litabtaghoo min fadlihee

    wa la'allakum tashkuroon

    and it is out of his mercy.
    The he has made for you the night and the day
    that you may rest therein
    and that you may seek of his bounty
    and in order that you may be grateful.

    aur us ne apni mohar se
    tumahre liye raat aur din banaye
    ke raat me aaraam karo
    aur din me is ka fazl dhundo
    aur is liye ke tum haq manu.

    28.74

     وَيَوْمَ يُنَادِيهِمْ

    فَيَقُولُ أَيْنَ شُرَكَآءِىَ

    ٱلَّذِينَ كُنتُمْ تَزْعُمُونَ

    Wa Yawma yunaadeehim

    fa yaqoolu aina shurakaaa'iy

    al lazeena kuntum tazz'umoon

    and remember when he will call them
    and say: “where are you partners
    whom you used to assert?”

    aur jis din unhen nida kare ga
    to farmaiye ga, kahan hain? mere woh shareek
    jo tum bekte the.

    28.75

     وَنَزَعْنَا مِن كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ شَهِيدًا

    فَقُلْنَا هَاتُوا۟ بُرْهَٰنَكُمْ

    فَعَلِمُوٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱلْحَقَّ لِلَّهِ

    وَضَلَّ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يَفْتَرُونَ

    Wa naza'naa min kulli ummatin shaheedan

    faqulnaa haatoo burhaanakum

    fa'alimooo annal haqqa lillaahi

    wa dalla 'anhum maa kaanoo yaftaroon 

    and we shall take out from every nation a witness
    and we shall say “bring our proof!”
    then they shall know that the truth is with Allah,
    what used to they invent will disappear from them.

    aur har giroh me se ek gawah nikaalen ge
    aur farmaen ge apni Daleel lao
    to jaan len ge ke haq Allah ka hai
    aur un se kho jaye gi jo banawate karte the.

    28.76

    إِنَّ قَٰرُونَ كَانَ مِن قَوْمِ مُوسَىٰ

    فَبَغَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ ۖ

    وَءَاتَيْنَٰهُ مِنَ ٱلْكُنُوزِ

    مَآ إِنَّ مَفَاتِحَهُۥ

    لَتَنُوٓأُ بِٱلْعُصْبَةِ أُو۟لِى ٱلْقُوَّةِ

    إِذْ قَالَ لَهُۥ قَوْمُهُۥ لَا تَفْرَحْ ۖ

    إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلْفَرِحِينَ

    Inna Qaaroona kaana min qawmi Moosaa

    fabaghaaa 'alaihim

    wa aatainaahu minal kunoozi

    maaa inna mafaati hahoo

    latanooo'u bil'usbati ulil quwwati

    iz qaala lahoo qawmuhoo laa tafrah

    innal laahaa laa yuhibbul fariheen

    verily Koran was of people of Mose’s
    but he behaved arrogantly towards them
    and we gave him of the treasures.
    Which indeed the keys of it
    would have been a burden to a body of strong men
    when his people said to him do not be glad;
    verily Allah not likes those who exult.

    beshak qaroon Moosa ki qoum se tha
    phir us ne un par ziyadti ki
    aur hum ne us ko itne khazane diye
    jin ki konjiyan
    ek zor aawar jamaat par bhaari theen,
    ab us se us ki qoum ne kaha itra nahi
    beshak Allah itrane walon ko dost nahi rakhta.

    28.77

     وَٱبْتَغِ فِيمَآ ءَاتَىٰكَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلدَّارَ ٱلْءَاخِرَةَ

    ۖ وَلَا تَنسَ نَصِيبَكَ مِنَ ٱلدُّنْيَا

    ۖ وَأَحْسِن كَمَآ أَحْسَنَ ٱللَّهُ إِلَيْكَ ۖ

    وَلَا تَبْغِ ٱلْفَسَادَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ

    إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ

    Wabtaghi feemaaa aataakal laahud Daaral Aakhirata

    wa laa tansa naseebaka minad dunyaa

    wa ahsin kamaaa ahsanal laahu ilaika

    wa laa tabghil fasaada fil ardi

    innal laaha laa yuhibbul mufsideen

    but seek with that, which Allah has bestowed on you the home the last
    and you do not forget your portion of this world
    and do good as Allah has been good to you
    and you not seek mischief in the land
    Verily Allah not likes mischief-makers

    aur jo maal tujhe Allah ne diya hai is se akhirat ka ghar talabb kar
    aur duniya me apna hissa na bhool
    aur ahsaan kar jaisa Allah ne tujh par ahsaan kya
    aur zamee me fasaad na chaah
    beshak Allah fasadiyon ko dost nahi rakhta.

    28.78

    قَالَ إِنَّمَآ أُوتِيتُهُۥ عَلَىٰ عِلْمٍ عِندِىٓ ۚ

    أَوَلَمْ يَعْلَمْ

    أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ قَدْ أَهْلَكَ مِن قَبْلِهِۦ مِنَ ٱلْقُرُونِ

    مَنْ هُوَ أَشَدُّ مِنْهُ قُوَّةً وَأَكْثَرُ جَمْعًا ۚ

    وَلَا يُسْـَٔلُ عَن ذُنُوبِهِمُ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ

    Qaala innamaaa ootee tuhoo 'alaa 'ilmin 'indeee

    Awalam ya'lam

    annal laaha qad ahlaka min qablihee minal qurooni

    man huwa ashaddu minhu quwwatanw wa aksaru jam'aa

    wa laa yus'alu 'an zunoobihimul mujrimoon

    He said: “this has been given to me only because of the knowledge I possess 
    Did he not know?
    That Allah has destroved before him of the generations.
    Men who were stronger than him in might and greater in collecting money
    but will not be questioned of their sins the crimnals.

    bolaa yeh to mujhe ek ilm se mila hai jo mere paas hai
    aur kya use yeh nahi maloom
    ke Allah ne us se pahle woh sangaten helaak farma den
    jin ki quwaten us se sakht thi aur jama us se ziyada
    aur mujrimon se un ke gunaaho ki pooch nahi.

    28.79

     فَخَرَجَ عَلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦ فِى زِينَتِهِۦ ۖ

    قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ يُرِيدُونَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا

    يَٰلَيْتَ لَنَا مِثْلَ مَآ أُوتِىَ قَٰرُونُ

    إِنَّهُۥ لَذُو حَظٍّ عَظِيمٍ

    Fakharaja 'alaa qawmihee fee zeenatih;

    qaalal lazeena yureedoonal hayaatad dunyaa

    yaalaita lanaa misla maaa ootiya Qaaroonu

    innahoo lazoo hazzin 'azeem

    So he went forth before his people in his pomp
    said those who were desirous of the life of the worldly.
    Ah would that we had the like of what has been given Korah
    Verily he is the owner of great fortune.

    to apni qaumi par nikla apni Araish me
    bole woh jo duniya ki zindagi chahte hain
    kisi terha hum ko bhi aisa milta jaisa qaroon ko mila
    beshak us ka barha naseeb hai.

    28.80

     وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْعِلْمَ

    وَيْلَكُمْ ثَوَابُ ٱللَّهِ  خَيْرٌ

     لِّمَنْ ءَامَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَٰلِحًا

    وَلَا يُلَقَّىٰهَآ إِلَّا ٱلصَّٰبِرُونَ

    Wa qaalal lazeena ootul 'ilma

    wailakum sawaabul laahi khairul

    liman aamana wa 'amila saalihaa;

    wa laa yulaq qaahaaa illas saabiroon

    and said those who were given the knowledge.
    Woe to you! the reward of Allah is better
    for those who believe and do righteous deeds
    and this none shall attain it except those who are patient.

    aur bole woh jinhen ilm diya gaya
    kharabi ho tumhari, Allah ka sawab behtar hai
    us ke liye jo imaan laaye aur ache kaam kere
    aur yeh unhi ko milta hai jo sabr wale hain.

    28.81

     فَخَسَفْنَا بِهِۦ وَبِدَارِهِ ٱلْأَرْضَ

    فَمَا كَانَ لَهُۥ مِن فِئَةٍ

    يَنصُرُونَهُۥ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ

    وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُنتَصِرِينَ

    Fakhasafnaa bihee wa bidaarihil arda

    famaa kaana laho min fi'atiny

    yansuroo nahoo min doonil laahi

    wa maa kaana minal muntasireen

    So we caused to swallow him and his dwelling place home the earth
    then there not was for him any group party
    to help him against Allah
    and he not was of those who could save themeselves. 

    to hum ne use aur us ke ghar ko zameen me dhansaya
    to us ke paas koi jamaat na thi
    ke Allah se bachane me us ki madad karti
    aur na woh badla le saka.

    28.82

     وَأَصْبَحَ ٱلَّذِينَ تَمَنَّوْا۟ مَكَانَهُۥ بِٱلْأَمْسِ

    يَقُولُونَ وَيْكَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَبْسُطُ ٱلرِّزْقَ

    لِمَن يَشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِۦ وَيَقْدِرُ ۖ

    لَوْلَآ أَن مَّنَّ ٱللَّهُ  عَلَيْنَا

     لَخَسَفَ بِنَا

    ۖ وَيْكَأَنَّهُۥ لَا يُفْلِحُ ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ

    Wa asbahal lazeena tamannaw makaanahoo bil amsi

    yaqooloona waika annal laaha yabsutur rizqa

    limany ya shaaa'u min 'ibaadihee wa yaqdiru

    law laaa am mannal laahu 'alainaa

    lakhasafa binaa

    waika annahoo laa yuflihul kaafiroon 

    and began those who had desired his position the day before
    to say. Know! You not that Allah extends the provision
    to whomsoever he pleases of his slaves and restricts it
    had it not been that Allah was gracious to us
    he could have caused the earth to swallow us up.
    Know! You not that the disbelievers will not be successful.

    aur kal jis ne us ke martaba ki arzoo ki thi subah
    kehne lage ajab baat hai Allah rizaq wasee karta hai
    apne bandon me jis ke liye chahe aur tangi farmata hai
    agar Allah hum par ahsaan farmata
    to hame bhi zaror dhansa deta, 
    ae ajab, kafiroon ka bhala nahi.

    28.83

    تِلْكَ ٱلدَّارُ ٱلْءَاخِرَةُ

    نَجْعَلُهَا لِلَّذِينَ لَا يُرِيدُونَ عُلُوًّا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ

    وَلَا فَسَادًا ۚ

    وَٱلْعَٰقِبَةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ

    Tilkad Daarul Aakhiratu

    naj'aluhaa lillazeena laa yureedoona 'uluwwan fil ardi

    wa laa fasaadaa;

    wal 'aaqibatu lilmuttaqeen

    that the last home!
    We shall assign it to those who, who not want pride in the land
    nor michief
    and the good end is for the pious.

    yeh akhirat ka ghar
    hum un ke liye karte hain jo zameen me takabbur nahi chahte
    aur na fasaad,
    aur aqibat parhaiz garon hi ki hai.

    28.84

     مَن جَآءَ بِٱلْحَسَنَةِ

    فَلَهُۥ خَيْرٌ مِّنْهَا ۖ

    وَمَن جَآءَ بِٱلسَّيِّئَةِ

    فَلَا يُجْزَى ٱلَّذِينَ عَمِلُوا۟ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ

     إِلَّا مَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ

    Man jaaa'a bilhasanati

    falahoo khairum minhaa

    wa man jaaa'a bissaiyi'ati

    falaa yujzal lazeena 'amilus saiyiaati

    illaa maa kaanoo ya'maloon

    whosoever brings the good deed
    for him will be the better thereof
    and whosoever brings the evil deed
    then those who do the evil deeds will not be rewareded
    except for what they used to do. 

    jo neki laaye
    us ke liye us se behtar hai
    aur jo badi laaye
    bad kaam walon ko badla na mile ga
    magar jitna kya tha.

    28.85

     إِنَّ ٱلَّذِى فَرَضَ عَلَيْكَ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ

    لَرَآدُّكَ إِلَىٰ مَعَادٍ ۚ

    قُل رَّبِّىٓ أَعْلَمُ مَن جَآءَ بِٱلْهُدَىٰ

    وَمَنْ هُوَ فِى ضَلَٰلٍ مُّبِينٍ

    Inna lazee farada 'alaikal Qur-aana

    laraaadduka ilaa ma'aad;

    qur Rabbeee a'lamu man jaaa'a bil hudaa

    wa man huwa fee dalaalim mubeen

    verily he has prescribe you the Qur’an
    will surely bring you to the place of return
    Say: My Raub is most aware of him who brings guidance
    and him who he is in manifest error

    beshak jis ne tum par quran farz kya
    woh tumhe pher le jaye ga jahan phairna chahte ho
    tum farmao, mera rab khoob jaanta hai use jo hidaayat laya
    aur jo khuli gumraahi me hai.

    28.86

    وَمَا كُنتَ تَرْجُوٓا۟

    أَن يُلْقَىٰٓ إِلَيْكَ ٱلْكِتَٰبُ

    إِلَّا رَحْمَةً مِّن رَّبِّكَ ۖ

    فَلَا تَكُونَنَّ ظَهِيرًا لِّلْكَٰفِرِينَ

    Wa maa kunta tarjooo

    ai yulqaaa ilaikal Kitaabu

    illaa rahmatam mir Rabbika

    falaa takoonanna zaheeral lilkaafireen

    and you were not expecting hoping
    that the scripture would be sent down to you.
    but as a mercy from your Raub
    so never be a supporter of the disbelievers. 

    aur tum umeed na rakhte the
    ke kitaab tum par bheje jaye gi
    haan tumahre rab ne rahmat farmai
    to tum hargiz kafiroon ki pushti na kara.

    28.87

    وَلَا يَصُدُّنَّكَ عَنْ ءَايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ

    بَعْدَ إِذْ أُنزِلَتْ إِلَيْكَ ۖ

    وَٱدْعُ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ ۖ

    وَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ

    Wa laa yasuddunnaka 'an Aayaatil laahi

    ba'da iz unzilat ilaika

    wad'u ilaa Rabbika

    wa laa takonanna minal mushrikeen

    and you not turn away from the auyat of Allah
    after they when have been sent down to you
    and invite to your Raub
    and be not of the polytheists! 

    aur hargiz woh tumhe Allah ki ayaton se na roken
    baad is ke ke woh tumhari taraf utari gayeen
    aur apne rab ki taraf bolaao
    aur hargiz shirk walon me se na hona.

    28.88

    وَلَا تَدْعُ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَ ۘ

    لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۚ

    كُلُّ شَىْءٍ هَالِكٌ إِلَّا وَجْهَهُۥ

    ۚ لَهُ ٱلْحُكْمُ

    وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ

     

    Wa laa tad'u ma'al laahi ilaahan aakhar;

    laaa ilaaha illaa Hoo;

    kullu shai'in haalikun illaa Wajhah;

    lahul hukkmu

    wa ilaihi turja'oon

    and you not call any other a god along with Allah.
    There is no god but he.
    Every thing will perish save his face
    to him is the decision
    and to him you all shall be returned.

    aur Allah ke sath dosre khuda ko na pooj 
    us ke siwa koi khuda nahi
    har cheez faani hai, siwa us ki zaat ke,
    usi ka hukum hai
    aur usi ki taraf phir jao ge.
